The power of bamboo

Lucky bamboo plants have become popular in homes, offices, shops and commercial spaces. Although we keep the lucky bamboo plant for the luck associated to it but not many of us know the significance of the plant. Lucky bamboos get their name from the age-old belief that a living bamboo brings luck and prosperity. According to Feng Shui the plant favors good fortune to the place that has it and is even luckier when received as a gift.
Followers of Feng Shui believe that the number of stalks and the method of tying them have significance.

According to the belief when the lucky bamboo plant is kept in the southeast corner of the house it is improves your wealth luck and keeping it in the east of the house or shop bestows good health
According to the Feng Shui belief the lucky bamboo plant is so auspicious because it brings together the 5 elements of life water, fire, earth, wood and metal, and symbolizes the natural balance in the environment. The red ribbon that is often tied to the lucky bamboo plant is believed to represent fire, the 6th natural element of life. The bamboo of the plant represents the wood; stones or pebbles represent earth; water is what the plant grows in; metal is represented by the container that the plant grows in. As per the Chinese tradition, the glass or clay pot that the plant is kept in should have a metal coin to have the fifth element in the balance.

1.The lucky bamboo plant does not grow in the unusual twisted, curved, or spiraling forms. These forms or shapes are done manually by changing the direction of light and slowly twisting or turning the plant to take shape, the whole process is labor intensive and time consuming.
