Greatest Gifts for Our Moms, Aunts and Grandmothers

Thinking of what great gift to give for your favorite auntie, grand-aunt or mom? As they get older and enter their golden years, we must somehow find something to show our appreciation for all their years of doting on us. Here are some things that may be the perfect gift for them for any occasion:

- Whistling Tea Kettles. Tea Kettles are an old school type of gift that is still appreciated by most people. Tea Kettles have great variety of use and remains a popular gift. For those perhaps hard of hearing, getting a whistling tea kettle enables them to notice when the water is all set and hot. It is something that has practical value and can be used time and again. There are several whistling tea kettles that have different sound and notes so be prepared to test them on how they sound so they aren't too irritating. You can also choose to purchase these tea kettles online if you so wish to do so. There are price ranges to fit your budget.

- Sweaters, comforters and things that make them stay warm. As people get older, they seem to need to get warmer or they easily chill with the change of weather. A nice shawl, perhaps a well knit sweater or even a comforter is a good gift. It reminds them that they need to be hugged and if you aren't there to hug them, perhaps the comforter may do a decent job.

- A Computer with Internet Access and free tutorials. Get them online and on the internet. It sounds crazy but a lot of new entrants to the internet are baby boomers and recent retirees. If you can spend a day or two with them and set up the computer so it's easy for them to check their emails and surf. Getting them a webcam and microphones and speakers, you can download web chat programs that they can use to communicate with you or their relatives. A lot of money will be saved since instead of using the telephone and calling long distance, all they have to do is go online and chat with those they are trying to reach.

- Dinner out. Treat them out with your family on a dinner that is nearby to their homes. This is so that they do not travel as far as they hate to travel far distances as they get older. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, but something cozy and intimate. Make it a nice celebration and have your kids around.
