Practical Gift Ideas for All Occasion

In any occasion for gift giving, perhaps indirectly we like our gifts to matter. It is very easy and perhaps even a quick way out to give gift certificates and let the recipient decide on what to do. But the challenge is in the thought process of the gift. Giving a gift that counts, that is memorable, that is practical and useful is the challenge. Here are some insights, tips, considerations that you may use or not. But at the very least, it keeps you thinking:

- Yellow Tea Kettles. It sounds strange but a yellow tea kettle is a certain stand out as a gift. A tea kettle is big and having it gift-wrapped will make the receivers wonder what it is. The color is bright and can easily be seen. The utilization of a tea kettle is various. You can use it to boil water which can be meant for tea, coffee, rinsing, or even use for heating potable water during emergencies. Some people think tea kettles have run its course in its utility with the advent of coffee makers, and other devices but believe you me, when you need it you will be glad that it is there. While it's not being used, this yellow tea kettle will be conveniently stored in an open pantry, so it still gets the top shelf space.

- Zen fountains. These days there are great mini Zen fountains that are so inexpensive and very easy to use. Giving them a Zen fountain establishes your desire for the receivers to have a tranquil and peaceful home.

- Plants. There are three types of plants that stand out as a gift. The first is the bonsai plant. This miniature version of a tree as a gift is the cream of the crop. Growing such plants requires years of hard work in stunting and controlling their growth. Bonsai plants can be expensive but it is a talk piece in the home. Nim trees are great gifts that can be planted outdoors and these are planted so as to repel mosquitoes and flies from your home during the summer and spring season. This type of herbal insect repellent is something that has been used by other countries for centuries but has recently been introduced in the western world. And it is catching on. The last plant is the eucalyptus tree. By planting them outside of your home, you can use its leaves to act as a deterrent for mice and rats, which have an aversion to eucalyptus. From time to time, you can place their leaves inside the kitchen cabinets, pantries, and cupboards. These are some practical gifts you can give to your friends and by mentioning them what they are used for, you make your gifts special.
