Many people using social media every day could make some money and they do not realize it. If you are hanging out on Facebook, creating You Tube videos, have your own blog, or making an update on Twitter you could turn that into social marketing opportunities.

Let me explain how.

Here is an example how you could make some more money doing social marketing. Let's start by setting up a blog of your own at Blogger.com.com.

You can blog on anything that interests you, but if you have a passion for something or an expertise that is a really good place to start. Google owns Blogger and you can get set up in three easy steps.

Once you're set up you can join the Google Adsense program and put some ads on your blog. Every time somebody clicks on an ad you earn money.

Once you have your blog ready you can create videos and post them on You Tube with a link back to your blog URL. Creating You Tube videos is not hard to do yet Google loves You Tube because they own them as well.

As a matter of fact blog articles with videos in them now ranked higher. They are also driving traffic to blogs by posting the videos in the top results of search keyword phrases.

You can join Facebook and link back to your blog URL. Every time you make a blog post you can bookmark it back to your Facebook page so it shows up where people can read it.

You do the same thing on Twitter by developing followers and linking back to your blog posts by making a Tweet. It's amazing how large the president of the United States follower list is. Even actors have come to realize that having a following list of a million people is good publicity for them.

All this stuff used to seeing kind of out there or in the future. However that's no longer true. There are people making a tremendous amount of money utilizing social media as a way to get their message across.

You see major corporations advertising on high-traffic blogs. It's not uncommon for a blog owner to have major advertisers bringing in over a quarter of $1 million a year for their blog.

It's actually cheaper for a company to promote on a high-traffic blog than it is to pay for t.v., newspaper or radio advertising.

These are a few tips on how to make some money with social marketing. The key is to find some things to sell and get them on your blog where people can purchase from you. Than just hang out in social marketing venues and drive traffic that way.
